✓ Last verified 2026-10-16 · How we check facts
Quick answer
The Chained Beasts Discord is the official Featherweight Games server, used for finding co-op partners, sharing runs and reporting bugs. The studio also posts on X as @_Featherweight_, runs a QQ group and answers on the Steam forums.
The Chained Beasts Discord is the center of the game's community. Featherweight Games uses it for playtest feedback, giveaways, bug reports and, most importantly for a co-op game, finding people to get chained to. This guide lists every official channel, explains what each one is good for and covers the Reddit and X questions.
The Official Chained Beasts Discord
The Featherweight Discord has been part of the game since the first closed playtest in 2025, when the studio asked all testers to share feedback there. At launch, the developer invited players to the Discord to "share replays of your best runs, your funniest affliction moments, and find chain-mates to dive into our cross-platform co-op with." The studio also asked for balance feedback and bug reports there.
| Chained Beasts Discord use | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Finding co-op partners | No public matchmaking was available in the demo |
| Sharing runs and clips | Community highlights and affliction stories |
| Bug reports | Direct line to the developer |
| Giveaways and events | Demo launch giveaway with 35 shirts in November 2025 |
Steam Forums
Developer staff answer on the Steam discussion boards. When a player asked whether anyone wanted to play, a staff member replied that the Discord is the best place to find a group. The forums are also where early players posted opinions, such as finding the chains annoying at first and then learning to trip enemies with them.
Chained Beasts on X
The studio posts as @Featherweight on X, describing itself as indie games by Tim Kaldor and Dylan Bevis and listing Botworld Adventure, Auto Pirates, Rodeo Stampede, Skiing Yeti Mountain and Chained Beasts. The account posted the launch countdown, the roadmap teaser and the trailer that first showed Rome.
