Twelve Years in the Making

Co-director Tim Kaldor explained in the launch post that Chained Beasts was the first game the team tried to make when Featherweight started twelve years ago. It began as a 48-hour game jam project called Enterchained, inspired by the chained-up scene in the movie Gladiator. The team shelved it after six months, then returned years later to build what it calls a "hardcore party game." Featherweight, a small Sydney studio founded in 2014, previously made mobile games such as Rodeo Stampede and Botworld Adventure.
